It could be top 5. Complete the question (har har har) as you see fit.

I’ll give you my Top 5 and a pretty good explanation as to why for my number 1 because you seem pretty great.

5.  Secret of Mana

4.  Final Fantasy VII

3.  Wild Arms

2.  Final Fantasy VI

1.  Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong’s Quest.

Donkey Kong Country 2 is my absolute favorite game of all time. It’s just the right amount of difficulty, it’s got TONS of secrets, DK coins to collect, animals to ride, fun boss battles, coperative and competitively play, and the soundtrack is amazing.

But the most important thing as to why this game is my number one is that when I was young, I didn’t get games very often.  I would borrow a lot of games or would have to bug my parents a lot to give them to me.  But my mom loved me so much.  In fact, dare I say, too much.  She was always willing to spoil me, getting any game I want, when I wanted, even if the game was garbage.  She bought me Donkey Kong Country 2 when was about 8 or 9 years old, maybe even younger.  It was the last time she’d buy me before she got sick with Fronto Temporal Dementia (FTD) , a rare form of Alzheimer’s.  At the time, I didn’t understand, but as I grew up, I learned that I had to take care of my mom as I aged.  I learned the value of a dollar, the value of completing games, and I learned a lot about myself and how to take care of people.

When The Completionist is coming to an end, this will be the game I review.  It’s the game that literally would launch my love of completing games and the review will be that final closing door chapter in my life when it comes to my mom and my family.
